Get to Know Me!

Hi, I'm Emily

I create engaging, learner-focused experiences that make learning memorable.

My Background

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy from York College of Pennsylvania in 2020 and began my career in a Level 1 trauma center at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Working in a high-pressure environment alongside interdisciplinary teams deepened my clinical expertise, collaboration skills, and empathy. While I found fulfillment in patient care, I discovered a passion for education and training, leading me to transition into a new role within the organization.

As an Epic Credentialed Trainer, I specialized in onboarding and training healthcare professionals on the Epic electronic medical record system. I facilitated 40+ unique classes, managed the Learning Management System, and developed training materials tailored to diverse learners. When the organization shifted to on-demand learning, I quickly learned Adobe Captivate and created e-learning courses that improved accessibility and efficiency for users.

An unexpected layoff gave me time to reflect on my true passion: designing impactful learning experiences. This led me to pursue a Master’s in Instructional Design and Technology at Commonwealth University, focusing on Learning Experience Design and earning an eLearning Specialist certificate. Each semester, I also worked as a graduate assistant, gaining hands-on experience developing corporate learning materials and strengthening my instructional design skills.
At my core, I’m driven by a desire to help others, now through designing learning solutions that solve problems, engage learners, and empower them.

Everyday Life

I’m a proud dog mom, cool aunt, plant enthusiast, hockey lover, and bookworm. I cherish spending time with my family, exploring new places, and diving into activities that challenge my mind.
