Get to Know Me!

Hi, I'm Emily
I design and develop impactful learning experiences that engage, inform, and inspire.
My Background
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy from York College of Pennsylvania in 2020 and began my career in a Level 1 trauma center at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Working in a high-pressure environment alongside interdisciplinary teams deepened my clinical expertise, collaboration skills, and empathy. While I found fulfillment in patient care, I discovered a passion for education and training, leading me to transition into a new role within the organization.
In my transition to an Epic Credentialed Trainer role, I specialized in onboarding and training healthcare professionals on the electronic medical record system called Epic. I led 40+ classes, managed the Learning Management System, and helped to develop training materials tailored to diverse learners. When the organization shifted to on-demand learning, I embraced the opportunity to learn Adobe Captivate, quickly developing professional e-learning courses that enhanced accessibility and efficiency of the users.
An unexpected layoff gave me time to reflect on what I loved most: creating engaging e-learning experiences. Research led me to instructional design, and I took the leap into a Master’s in Instructional Design and Technology at Commonwealth University, with a focus on Learning Experience Design and an eLearning Specialist certificate. Now, as a graduate assistant, I gain hands-on experience developing corporate learning materials, further strengthening my skills in creating instructional content and shaping engaging learning experiences.
At my core, I’ve always been driven by a desire to help others. Now, I do so by designing meaningful, impactful learning experiences that inspire and empower professionals. I’m set to graduate in December 2025 and couldn’t be more excited for what the future holds!
